Great for all levels of artists!
Discover how to paint with these vibrant inks and not with traditional painting methods. You can use straws, tissues, bubble wrap, hairdryers and simply by holding the special paper up to move the ink around to create your chosen image. It will be a day of playing and experimenting....getting creative and having fun!

Introduction to Alcohol Inks
- Learn what materials you need to start creating
- Learn how do build up “layers” in an abstract painting
- How to create a “rolling wave” painting
- Learn different ways to get textures/mark making in the inks
- Learn the tricks to painting with a brush with this medium
- And most importantly! Learn about how fun this medium is to play with!!!!!
Most supplies will be provided, from the inks to substrates and tools, but there are a few extras that
you can bring from home.

These workshops each consists of 5 different exercises all designed to learn what these inks can do, each allowing the student to produce small pieces of art along the way, and each exercise will be demonstrated.
RGA Fridays 22nd October 2019 7pm - 9:30pm

This sessions will be a mix of instruction focusing on alcohol inks, and informal session working from a display created and led by myself with a theme that allows you to experiment.
​
Location: New Art Block at Maiden Erlegh School, Silverdale Road, Earley, RG6 7HS.
There is ample parking on site. The school is behind the parade of shops on Betchworth Avenue.

The cost per session is £6 for members and £7 for guests. An additional small charge (£6) is needed for materials. No need to book, just turn up. Everyone Welcome!

Alcohol Inks @ Norden Farm
A great class for any level of artist; learning together the creative capabilities of these inks. Each week is a different theme/subject, so we can explore all the possibilities. The class will be a combination of techniques and the opportunity to play and discover these inks for yourselves.
